Bio Martin Borden

I am a Vancouver based filmmaker, visual artist, wood-carver, and educator. My short films have played at festivals in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia and I have exhibited painting, printmaking, and photography in Montreal and Vancouver. My subject matter concerns the collision between culture and nature, particularly in relation to the arts, urban ecology, and alternatives to a consumer lifestyle. I completed the Capilano University Documentary Program and have an MFA from Concordia University in Montreal. My interests include travel, urban agriculture, bicycles, and guitars.
